The Anti-Censorship Technical Committee's (ACTC's) mission is:

Curating, supporting, and financing projects centered around privacy, decentralization, and anti-censorship technologies, fostering a world unrestrained by digital suppression.

Think of us as an incubator for decentralization.

We are against censorship because we believe that there should actually be discussions and arguments in the public square. We believe that without these discussions, our very liberty is at stake. If we decide to outsource all of our understanding of reality to "experts," "fact-checkers," and those who are currently in power, we are blindly following people who will lead us astray and often seek to enslave us. We find discourse to be exhilarating and an important part of of what being a human being is all about.

We have very little use for low-integrity people who think that self-censoring or censoring others for immediate financial returns is more important than truth and liberty. As one of the American founding fathers Samuel Adams put it in his 1 August 1776 speech to the State House in Philadelphia:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

We are in this because we strive for liberty and we wish to make it difficult for those seeking thought and narrative control to have their way. Our goal is to protect free speech by making it damn near impossible for the powers-that-be to silence anybody's voice -- especially the important dissident voices.

Watch this space if you are interested in what we are doing and would like to assist in our endeavors by:

  • Operating nodes in decentralized systems
  • Spreading the word about our efforts
  • Contributing financially to the cause

As we spool up these efforts, this committee will have more to share.
